ACC website hacked

DHAKA: A group of Bangladeshi hackers took over Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) website just after three days of its official launch.

The site (www.acc.org.bd) from Thursday midnight showed a black page with a message of ‘Hacked by FS’.

The hackers also uploaded a popular Bangla song ‘Tumi dio nako basor ghorer batti nivaiya’.

Regarding the matter, ACC officials were not available for comment while phoned them on early Friday.

Earlier on Tuesday, Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) chairman M Badiuzzaman inaugurated the website saying that henceforth anybody from any country can come to know the activities of ACC by a click.

People also can file complaints to ACC from their houses, he added.

Moreover, ACC secretary Dr Maqsudul Hasan Khan said the website will play a very important role as a source of information about ACC.

With Dr Maqsudul Hasan Khan in the chair, deputy director Akhter Hossain, commissioner (investigation) M Sahabuddin Chuppu, commissioner (enquiry) Dr Nasiruddin Ahmed, director general Dr M SHamsul Arefin, Brigadier General (retd) M H Salahuddin, director M Tahidul Islam, deputy director (public relations) Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya were present in the ceremony.

System analyst of ACC Razib Hasan highlighted various features of the site that was made with assistance of German development organization GIZ.
