DHAKA: State minister for posts and telecommunications Tarana Halim on Wednesday said the waves for 4G network would be auctioned by this year.

The state minister made the disclosure while addressing a press conference organized to observe second anniversary of the government and to elaborate its future plans.

She also expected to spread 2.5G and a complete coverage of 3G in the country by the year.

“The auction for 4G network wave will be arranged this year,” she added.

Telecom secretary M Faizur Rahman Chowdhury and other high-ups of the ministry were present in the conference here.
