DHAKA: A three-day Summer Laptop Fair-2016 will kick off at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) at Agargaon in city on Friday (May 13).
This is the 17th edition of laptop expo, says a press release issued on Monday (May 9).
Local and International technology product manufactures and franchises will showcase and sell the latest technology products in the fair designed with one mega pavilion, four pavilions, seven mini pavilions and 47 stalls here.
The organizers arranged Meet the Press at a city hotel on Monday in this regard.
Global Brand Chairman Abdul Fattah, Acer Country Representative Sakib Hasan, Dell Country Marketing Manager Protap Saha, HP Retail Account Manager Salauddin Mohammad Addel were, among others, present there.
Expo Maker Head of Operations & Convener of Summer Laptop Fair-2016 Nahid Hasnain Siddique moderated the session.
Nahid Hasnain Siddique said that the Laptop Fair has been organized every year including outside Dhaka since 2008.
“We found better participations from the students, young minds as well as technology enthusiast people from all walks of life that we expected in the previous editions of the fair.”
He also hoped that the participations of mass in this year will break all previous records.
Globally renowned companies, including Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Lava, Lenevo, Toshiba, Twinmos, Gigabyte, Deluxe, Xtreme, Logitech, Dlink, Inol, Xiaomi, Microlab, Avira, ESET Antivirus, Intel Security, Rapoo, Adata, Panda and others technology brands, will install tents at the expo.
A wide range of products, including Laptop, Tablet, Internet Security products and other accessories and gadgets related to laptops, will be available at the expo.
Besides of price waiver and gift with the products, there will be unveiled some new model laptops according the organizers, the release added.
The customer will get minimum benefit of Tk 1,000-1500 directly on purchases of any laptops. Besides, the customers will get offer of ‘get one on buy one’ for selective models according scratch card. Some companies will give smartphones with selective models of laptop brand.
There also is a quiz contest at the social media page of the expo (www.facebook.com/laptopfair.bd) where anyone can get chance to win Laptop, Tablet, Smartphone and other attractive prizes.
Laptop brand Acer, Asus, Dell and HP are the co-sponsors of the expo this year.
Besides, Lava as smartphone partner, Ticket booth partner Panda Security contribute for the fair while Peoples Radio, Techshohor.com and Edumaker are partners of the expo.
The expo will open from 10:00am to 8:00pm. The entry fee is Tk 30. The school students with uniform or identity card and physically impaired people can enter freely.
Smartphone users can get entry permit by downloading Techshohor Apps from app stores.
The ticket money of the expo will be donated for treatment of a blood cancer patient Jannatul Ferdousy Soma. Her father is a CNG Auto Rickshaw driver.
