As you see, TRUST is in our name, thus we build trust and we earn trust,” a very confident Jan-Cayo was saying.

Jan-Cayo Fiebig, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Co-Founder of CodersTrust was talking with Banglanews24.com at the country office and teaching center of this international organisation, located at Gulshan area in capital.

“Here at our center the students earn through learning. And as they learn and earn simultaneously, their confidences automatically take shapes,” he said.

“Through the learn and earn path we have been making the dreams of many come true,” Jan-Cayo said and added that they have taught and graduated 1440 students in their less than 3-year of journey in Bangladesh that started in late Autumn of 2014.

In the field of Information Technology (IT) learning process is endless, so once a student is always a student, they are always welcome to learn new developments in the IT sector in this center, added Ataul Goni Osmani, Country Director of CodersTrust.  Osmani was also on the discussion table, placed against a large white-board full of lots of codes and formulas written in black ink.

CodersTrust Bangladesh sets a goal to creating a community of 10 thousand freelancers within 2017. To meet the goal they are engaging students both in online and offline methods.

Students are being trained in classes and labs at this centers where they have face to face interaction with mentors, while students around the country are getting training online through live classes with the mentors.

Once you are connected with CodersTrust, anywhere, anytime you are able to learn and earn, said Jan-Cayo Fiebig.

This youth Goodwill Ambassador of Denmark is now staying in Bangladesh with the flag of CodersTrust.

All potentials are there to build Bangladesh an IT nation. Youths here, are very enthusiastic and energetic. What they need is the motivation, and at CodersTrust we motivate first, said Cayo.

Out mission is to enable the next generation of IT freelance talents, he added.

CodersTrust is more than a tech company. We’re a collective of creators and makers, builders and hackers, mentors and students from over 22 countries worldwide, the CT webpage says about the team.

About its creation, the site says, “CodersTrust is the brainchild of Ferdinand Kjaerulff, a former captain of Danish army and served as recovery officer in Iraq. This founder and CEO of CT once pioneered a recovery project with the allied forces bringing internet and e-learning to the citizens he was stationed. The project was a massive success and inspired him to eventually create CodersTrust supported by Danida-with a vision to democratize access to education via internet on a global scale.”

CodersTrust Dhaka center offers courses on Responsive Web Design, Graphic Design, Accounts and Management System, SEO & SMM, Wordpress Development with E-commerce and Android App Development. Courses are of 3-5 months and all are divided in both online and offline class methods. And obviously all the courses include freelancing. Participants start earning through freelancing while they learn and after completion of the course and passing an assessment instrument they receive a certificate.

In the virtual market, where you need to fight and compete many to get a job, the communication skill means a lot. You need to convince your client with the capacity of writing the right words right time, said San-Cayo.

Important part is to know, what does the market want. And at CodersTrust we prepare our students with that capacity. We provide them best and updated knowledge, care about their communication skills, help them to write best English and finally look after to make sure that they are completing the job in right process with due quality, said Ataul Goni.

Through the live classes we bring international standard to our students. World famous mentors take online sessions and anybody from anywhere can join, if he or she is internet connected, added Cayo.

Among other facilities CT includes 24/7 online support, student management meetup, one on one career advisor support, student ambassador opportunity, English communication, In Class activities.

In a brief tour in the center Banglanews found the ongoing classes very live and participating. A student-turn-mentor was taking a class.

That is the beauty of CodersTrust, said San-Cayo. We believe in knowledge sharing. Once you know something share that with others so that they also can learn. And that is the most effective way to build-up an IT knowledge-based society.

CT opens its own chat box named ‘Say Hi to Your New Friends’ where all can communicate each other and it is also used as a network of knowledge sharing.

We have good number of success stories with girls. But still they are lagging behind, particularly in ICT sector. So we need to engage girls more and more in this field. Keeping that in view the CodersTrust sponsored National Hackathon for Women 2017 program which was organised for the first Time in Bangladesh, said Jan-Cayo.
Girls can add more value in ICT, as they can work from home, said Aatul Goni Osmani.
Aziz Ahmad, an USA-based ICT investor cum specialist and also a Board Member of CodersTrust Bangladesh also talked with Banglanews from New York over phone. “CodersTrust is not merely a business venture, this initiative is highly fit in the concept of Digital Bangladesh,” he said.
