DHAKA: The government of Bangladesh has signed an orbit frequency coordination deal with India for using a transponder of the proposed South Asian Satellite.
With this deal, Bangladesh is now officially linked with the satellite.
Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) chairman Dr. Shahjahan Mahmood and Indian high commissioner in Bangladesh Harsh Vardhan Shringla have signed the deal at BTRC office in Dhaka on Thursday (March 23).
According to BRTA officials, Bangladesh will be able to use one, out of the eight, transponders of the six-nation satellite operated by India.
