DHAKA: The 12th of December will be observed as ‘Digital Bangladesh Day’ instead of ‘National ICT Day’ from now on.

The cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, made the approval in its regular meeting at the secretariat Monday (Nov 26).

Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam disclosed the matter to journalists, after the meeting.

However, the 12th of December was observed as National ICT (Information, Communication and Technology) Day only once in 2018, since it had been announced in 2017.
