Apple to bring iPhone 5s, 5c from 25 Oct

DHAKA: Apple announced it will expand sales of the new iPhone 5s and 5c smartphones to over 25 more countries from 25 October.

The list includes Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, French West Indies, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macau, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Reunion, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan and Thailand.

From 11 November, additional countries will receive the iPhone 5s and 5c.

These include Albania, Armenia, Bahrain, Colombia, El Salvador, Guam, Guatemala, India, Macedonia, Malaysia, Mexico, Moldova, Montenegro, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the UAE. The phones were first launched last month in the US, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore and the UK.

In Europe, the iPhone 5s will sell at EUR 699 for the 16GB model, EUR 799 for the 32GB model and EUR 899 euros for the 64GB version. The prices of the cheaper iPhone 5c will be EUR 599 for the 16GB model and EUR 699 for the 32GB model. The phones can be purchased via the Apple Online Store, Apple Stores and selected authorized distributors. The earlier iPhone 5 will also be available free with certain carriers, on a two-year contract.
