AFTER RETURNING FROM BICHHANAKANDI (SYLHET): Milk-white clouds are seen touching the hill, crystal clear water of the fountain is falling down and finally mixing in the river – such a beauty is depicted at Pantumai.

The happy co-existence of natural elements in the area adjacent to the northern Indian state of Meghalaya enhances the beauty of each other.

Pantumai on the bank of river Pianie is charming. There is a heavy rush of tourists in the area. As the publicity is increasing so the numbers of visitors are becoming larger.

A local Shamim told banglanews that everyday few hundreds of tourists come to see Pantumai hilly fountain. The beauty which comes out from waterfall catches the visitors.

Pantumai is located some distance from Bichhanakandi via Hadar Bazar. In rainy season the beauty of Pantumai flourishes more causing enhancement of transport fare.

Pantumai village is located 62-km away from Sylhet city bordering Pratappur under Jaflong union of Goaineghat upazilla at north east side.

You are to reach the Pantumai fountain crossing zigzag road. Few kilometers away there is Lakat Haat. The Bangladeshis can market here freely.

But there is no fixed date of haat. It is decided by the bordering people.

However, engine boat is the only means of communication to Pantumai from Hadar Bazar. If there is current in the river it takes one hour while without current it takes half an hour to reach this heavenly spot of Pantumai.
