DHAKA: Jamuna Group’s aggressive and ever increasing hungry has forced the family of Haji Zamir pauper. Chairman of organization of Nurul Islam Babul has forcibly and illegally occupied five bighas of land of the family worth Tk 100 crore.

By forcibly occupying the land with muscle power the glittering Jamuna Future Park has been set up. The international chain hotel Marriot has also been set up on this occupied land.

Not only Zamir Ali even Babul did not hesitate to swallow the land of Habibullah of Nodda, Giashuddin Sarkar, and many others including Advocate Barek Chowdhury.

The forcibly occupied land by Jamuna Group included one and half bigha of Barek Chowdhry, one bigha of Habibullah and fifteen katha of Giashuddin Sarkar.

These landless people are also scared now. The pet cadres of Nurul Islam Babul are still haunting those hapless pauper families.

To save their lives they even do not open their mouth.

According to reports, Babul has let loose a reign of terror in Joar Sahara and adjoining areas. There is proof that he has forcibly occupied more than eight bighas of land.
 
Sources said that Haji Zamir’s family is now helplessly moving after losing paternal properties. Though they have right and title of the land according to CS and RS records, defying their ownership Babul is constructing numerous buildings. On Tuesday in presence of some journalists Haji Zamir Ali bursts into tears. His family members were standing there helplessly.
 
Zamir claimed that the entire Jamuna Future Park has been set up on their five bighas of land. The value of the land is about Tk 100 crore.

He told that he has lost everything due to ill advice of Babul. At first Babul purchased a small portion of the land then he claimed all its surrounding land as his (Babul) own land. Zamir Ali is protesting since then but of no effect.
 
Land office sources said that a total of  five bighas one katha of land of 1446, 1449, 1450 and 1452 plots on Joar Sahara mouza according CS and RS records have been swallowed by Jamuna group.

After losing the property Haji Zamir Ali and his brother SM AL- Amin filed three civil suits in court of Additional District Judge. They also filed two more cases in other two courts but Babul’s armed cadres are giving threats to withdraw the cases.

After examining the documents of land and depositions of the witnesses the court gave verdict in favour of Zamir Ali and his brother. But owing to the life threat given by Babul and his armed men Zamir Ali cannot go to his own land.

When contacted, Zamir Ali he did not dare to open his mouth. However at one stage he told Banglanews that, “Babul from very begining was telling that you have no land here. When we showed papers, he told that though you have papers, how you will go there. Don’t you know me?”  

Zamir Ali told that our four-fathers used to cultivate this land. The place where the building of Jamuna Television has been set up and also some lands of Jamuna Future Park are owned by us.

We used to cultivate vegetables on this land. We had a house there. Everything has been occupied by Babul.

With agony Zamir Ali told: “There is none to hear us. Babul is a tiger and we are like a goat to him. Can a goat fight the tiger? We want to get rid of this tiger like man. But to whom we will go. He gives threat that he has news paper, he has television.”
Having legal and valid documents he cannot go on his land rather he running to face the cases filed by Babul.
