IFIC Bank signs MoU with IMED

DHAKA: IFIC Bank Ltd, private commercial bank of country signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on electronic government procurement (e-GP) system with the Central Procurement Technical Unit (CPTU) of Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED) under Ministry of Planning recently.

A press release in this regard made the disclosure on Monday.

IMED Secretary Mohammad Mejbahuddin chaired the function as the chief guest while Deputy Managing Director of IFIC Bank Mati-ul Hasan and Director General of Central Procurement Technical Unit (CPTU) of the Ministry Amulya Kumar Debnath signed the MOU on behalf of their respective organization.

The signing ceremony was attended, among others, by System Analyst of CPTU M Mosharraf Hussain, SVP & Head of IT of IFIC Bank Saiful Momin and In-charge of Corporate Banking Abdul Mannan.

As a member bank, IFIC Bank will soon provide services like registration/re-registration of Bidders/Tenderers, sale Tender Documents etc. on behalf of Procuring Agencies (PAs) and Procuring Entities (PEs) within the territorial jurisdiction of the Bank.

Under the MOU, CPTU of the Ministry will provide e-GP Portal Dashboard and training to nominated focal persons of the Bank for the use of payment system under e-GP.

On the other hand, CPTU Ministry of Planning will publish the names of the Bank in e-GP portal link to the Bank as the e-payment service provider.
