The Bangladesh Jewellers’ Association (BAJUS) has raised gold prices in the country’s market once more, increasing the rate by up to Tk 1,470 per bhori.
According to the new rates, the price of 22-carat gold stands at Tk 175,788 per bhori, up from Tk 174,318 on Monday (September 1).
BAJUS announced the hike in a press release, stating that the revised rates take effect today (September 2).
The association said the adjustment was made due to a rise in the cost of refined (pure) gold in the local market.
