ACC summons IDRA officer

DHAKA: Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has summoned Officer of Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority Bangladesh (IDRA) Abdul Motaleb over bribery scandal.

IDRA Junior Officer Sohel Rana was also summoned to quiz him for finding out the mystery of the bribery case.

ACC sources said that regarding the matter two more officers may be summoned.

A notice singed by ACC Deputy Assistant Director and Investigation Officer Abdul Kader was sent to Sohel Rana asking him to appear before ACC on Thursday.

Earlier, IDRA Officer Abdul Motaleb was arrested red handed while he was taking bribe from Reliance Insurance. Later on August 5, a case was filed in this connection with Motijheel police station.

IDRA Chairmen M Shefak Ahamed confirmed the matter to banglanews.
