Jewellers hiked gold prices by Tk 1,750 per bhori today (November 18) which set a new record, with each bhori now priced at Tk 1,06,376 in Bangladesh.

The new price will be effective from Sunday (November 19), said a press release of the Bangladesh Jewellers' Association (BAJUS) today.

The standing committee on pricing and price monitoring of BAJUS took the decision of the gold price hike in a meeting today, according to a statement of the association.

Earlier on November 5, BAJUS raised the price of gold by Tk 1,750 to Tk 1,04,626 per bhori.
