The price of gold reached an all-time high in the international market on Friday (March 8). 

The price of the safe-haven metal rose 0.4 percent in the spot market on the day. The price settled at 2170 dollars 55 cents per ounce.

US benchmark gold rose 0.9 percent on the same day and settled at 2,185 dollars 50 cents per ounce.

The world has never seen gold prices so high before the latest development.

Earlier, at one point of trading on December 3, 2023, the price of gold stood at $2,152 per ounce, the highest price in history until that time.
