The price of gold in Bangladesh has dropped after three consecutive hikes.
Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) announced that the new prices will take effect on Tuesday (November 5).
The cost of 22-carat gold has been reduced by Tk 1,364 per bhori (11.664 grams) and will now be Tk 142,161.
Similarly, the price of 21-carat gold is lowered by Tk 1,306, bringing it to Tk 135,699 per bhori.
For 18-carat gold, the price has dropped by Tk 1,120 to Tk 116,313, while traditional gold will cost Tk 95,575 per bhori after a reduction of Tk 944.
Silver prices remain the same.
The price of 22-carat silver is Tk 2,100 per bhori, 21-carat silver is Tk 2,006, 18-carat silver is Tk 1,715, and traditional silver costs Tk 1,283 per bhori.
