Bourses see fall Wednesday

DHAKA: Investors witnessed sharp fall in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Wednesday.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, shed over six points to stand at 4,750 at the close on the fourth trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 95239 with transaction at Tk 3,962 million.
    
Of the issues traded, 93 advanced, 162 declined and 64 remained unchanged.

GOLDENSON topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 240 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were OLYMPIC, CONFIDCEM, SQURPHARMA, MPETROLEUM, GP, NAVANACNG, SCCL, DELTALIFE and SINGERBD.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 9,328 by dropping over 12 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 66 gained, 141 declined and 15 remained unchanged.
