LPG cylinder price drops by Tk 19

The price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) has been lowered for May, according to an announcement by the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) on Sunday (May 4).

The price of a 12kg LPG cylinder has been reduced by Tk 19, bringing it down from Tk 1,450 to Tk 1,431. The new price will take effect from Sunday evening, the commission said in its briefing.

Alongside LPG, the price of autogas has also been decreased. Consumers will now pay Tk 65.57 per liter, down by Tk 0.84 from the previous rate of Tk 66.41 per liter.

In April, BERC had kept LPG prices unchanged, following a March price drop of Tk 28, which set the 12kg cylinder price at Tk 1,450. In February, the price had increased by Tk 19 to Tk 1,478 per cylinder.

The latest adjustments reflect ongoing revisions in fuel pricing to accommodate global price fluctuations and consumer affordability.
