Stocks end lower Sunday

DHAKA: Country's stock market marked fall in its price indices on Sunday.

 The broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, shed over six points only to stand at 4,420 at the close on the first trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 91,915 with volume of transactions at Tk 4,287 million.

Of the issues traded, 128 advanced, 128 declined and 39 remained unchanged.

BEXIMCO topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 527 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were GP, ACI, PADMAOIL, PENINSULA, LAFSURCEML, MPETROLEUM, FARCHEM, SPCL and HWAWELLTEX.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8,371 by dropping over nine points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 82 gained, 86 declined and 34 remained unchanged.
