DHAKA: An agreement has been signed to export 25,000 metric tonnes rice to Sri Lanka.

Food directorate director general Mohammad Sarwar Khan and Lanka Sathosa Limited chairman Nalin Fernando signed the agreement on behalf of their respective side at the food ministry on Wednesday.

Bangladesh food minister Qamrul Islam, secretary Mushfeqa Iqfat and other top officials were present at the singing ceremony.
