DHAKA: Key share price indices at both Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) witnessed a positive trend later on Wednesday despite falls in the early hours.
However, DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, reached up to 4,803.00 points by 2:30pm, starting from 4,801.00 points in the morning.
Wednesday’s top 10 gainers at the DSE were IMAMBUTTON, ABBANK, EXIM1STMF, MODERNDYE, PADMALIFE, TRUSTBANK, TAKAFULINS, NTC, UCBL, and AZIZPIPES.
Nevertheless, SPCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 143.23 million after the trading.
The other turnover leaders of the major bourse were CITYBANK, IFADAUTOS, LAFSURCEML, MJLBD, BSCCL, CVOPRL, AGNISYSL, BEXIMCO, and AAMRATECH.
On the other hand, the port city bourse, CSE, also saw a positive trend on the day with its Selective Category Index, CSCX.
The index, which was in 1,081.75 points at 10:30am, reached up to 1,086.50 points before closing.
