DSE, CSE witnessing fall

DHAKA: Trading on the country’s two bourses ---Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) --is underway with downward trend of share-price indices on Sunday.

DSEX, the broad Index of the DSE, shed over 16 points to stand at 4746 at 1:09pm.

Trade deals stood at 55,089 with volume of transactions at Tk 2062 million.

Of the issues traded, 80 advanced, 172 declined and 49 remained unchanged.

HEIDELBCEM topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 160 million having changed hands.

Following the suit, the Chittagong Stock Exchange Selective Categories Index (CSCX) climbed down to 8851 by dropping over two points at about 1:09pm.

Out of the issues traded, 53 gained, 121 declined and 29 remained unchanged.
