DSE, CSE down after early gain

DHAKA: Trading on the country’s two bourses, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), is underway showing negative trends in share-price indices on Monday.

DSEX, the Broad Index of DSE, shed over 20.30 points to stand at 4412.18 at 1:20pm while it was 4445.49 after the 1st 55 minutes of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 8,711 with transaction at Tk 306 million.

Of the issues traded, 71 advanced, 185 declined and 42 remained unchanged.

UPGDCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 223.01 million having changed hands during the time.

On the other hand, the port city bourse, CSE, also saw negative trend with its Selective Category Index, CSCX, 38.23 points to stand 8218.00 at 1:24pm.

Out of the issues traded, 43 gained, 143 declined and 25 remained unchanged.
