DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – are witnessing positive trend in share price indices at the opening hours on Tuesday (October 4), the third trading session of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 8.01 points or 0.17 percent to stand at 4699.15 points at 12:26pm.

Trade deals stood at 56073 with transaction at over Tk 2614.03 million. Of the issues traded, 116 advanced, 137 declined and 57 remained unchanged.

Standard Insurance Limited topped the turnover.

Meanwhile, the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw positive trend as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gaining over 8.82 points to stand at 8788.81 points at the dame time.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 84 advanced, 87 declined and 4 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 152,914,838.10.
