DHAKA: The two bourses of the country – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – are witnessing positive trend in share price indices at the opening hours on Wednesday (October 4), the fourth trading session of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 11.66 points or 0.24 percent to stand at 4720.45 points at 12:04pm.

Trade deals stood at 42142 with transaction at over Tk 1913.77 million. Of the issues traded, 166 advanced, 77 declined and 63 remained unchanged.

GBB Power Ltd topped the turnover.

Meanwhile, Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also saw positive trend as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gaining over 12.11 points to stand at 8821.7732 points at the same time.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 107 advanced, 57 declined and 28 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 93,886,082.50.
