DHAKA NORTH BUREAU: Industries minister Amir Hossain Amu on Sunday (October 16) categorically said all the tanneries have to be shifted from capital’s Hazaribagh area to Hemayetpur of Savar by December 30 this year.

He came up with the information while addressing the journalists after visiting the BSCIC tannery estate at Hemayetpur of Savar.

He further warned the tanners saying the government would cut the electricity and gas supply lines of tanneries at Hazaribagh on January 1 next year if they do not relocate by the time.

Industries secretary Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan and owners of several tanneries were present here.
