DHAKA: The two bourses of the country – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – are witnessing loss in share price indices in the early hours on Monday (October 17), the second trading session of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), shed over 21.05 points or 0.44 percent to stand at 4688.57 points at 12:48 pm.

Trade deals stood at 54,060 with a transaction over Tk 2224.44 million. Of the issues traded, 87 advanced, 174 declined and 51 remained unchanged.

Doreen Power topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 137.34 million having changed hands till then.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also following the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, loss over 55.27 points to stand at 8761.90 points at 12:47 pm.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 45 gained, 133 declined and 32 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 145.37 million.
