DHAKA: The two bourses of the country – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – are witnessing gain in share price indices in the early hours on Monday (October 24), the second trading session of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 2.51 points or 0.05 percent to stand at 4695.51 points at 12:20 pm.

Trade deals stood at 64,121 with a transaction over Tk 3769.15 million. Of the issues traded, 137 advanced, 132 declined and 43 remained unchanged.

Fortune Shoes Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 247.25 million having changed hands till then.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also following the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, acquired over 9.47 points to stand at 8777.66 points at 12:18 pm.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 78 gained, 91 declined and 32 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 168.91 million.
