DHAKA: Investors witnessed fall in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange and Chittagong Stock Exchange - on Wednesday (October 26).
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, shed over 23.65 points and 0.50 percent to stand at 4658.20 at the end of the day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 135,033 with transaction at Tk 5914.43 million.
Of the issues traded, 75 advanced, 208 declined and 43 remained unchanged.
The Doreen Power Generations and Systems Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 370.86 million having changed hands.
The other toppers were KDS Accessories Limited, Fortune Shoes Limited, Aman Feed Limited, Titas Gas Transmission & Dist. Co. Ltd., LankaBangla Finance Ltd., Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd., BRAC Bank Ltd., JMI Syringes & Medical Devices Ltd. and Mithun Knitting and Dyeing Ltd.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, s CSCX, the prime index, climbing down to 8700.80 by dropping over 55.71 points.
Out of the issues traded, 51 gained, 166 declined and 24 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 384.37 million.
