CNG stations’ indefinite strike from Oct 30

DHAKA: Owners of the CNG-filling station has called a countrywide strike for an indefinite period from October 30.

Bangladesh CNG Filling Station and Conversion Workshop Owners Association made the announcement at a press conference in city on Wednesday (October 26).

The strike will be imposed to press home their 3-point demands including the cancellation of excessive amount of money for a lease by government’s roads and highways department.

The organization’s president Masud Khan said that they have been informing the government regarding their demands for a long. “But the government paid little heed to solve the problem.”

The CNG filling stations will observe the strike from 6:00am on October 30 for indefinite periods across the country, he added.

CNG filling station owners and representatives were present at the conference.
