DHAKA: Investors witnessed fall in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange and Chittagong Stock Exchange - on Wednesday (November 9).
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, shed over 19.80 points and 0.42 percent to stand at 4671.25 at the end of the day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 127,522 with transaction at Tk 5549.55 million.
Of the issues traded, 87 advanced, 191 declined and 44 remained unchanged.
The Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd. Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 246.68 million having changed hands.
The other toppers are Orion Infusion Ltd., Confidence Cement Ltd., Shasha Denims Limited, Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited, Shahjibazar Power Co. Ltd., Fortune Shoes Limited, Golden Harvest Agro Industries Ltd., Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Ltd., and The Peninsula Chittagong Limited.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, s CSCX, the prime index, climbing down to 8741.69 by dropping over 23.83 points.
Out of the issues traded, 64 gained, 142 declined and 31 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 411.54 million.
