DHAKA: Country's stock market marked gain in its price indices on Tuesday (December 4), the third trading session of the week.

DSEX, the broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), rose over 48.87 points only to stand at 5345.42 at the close of day’s trading. 

Trade deals stood at 1,64,286 with volume of transactions at Tk 6,834.85 million.

Of the issues traded, 211 advanced, 85 declined and 45 remained unchanged.

Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 182.56 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were Advent Pharma Ltd, Saiham Cotton Mills Ltd, Pacific Denims Ltd, United Power Generations and Distribution Company Ltd, Silva Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Sintex Industries Ltd, M L Dyeing Ltd, Sonali Aansh Industries Ltd and Khulna Power Company Ltd.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CASPI, the overall share index, climbed up to 16,399.87 by gaining over 126.05 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 156 gained, 66 declined and 22 remained unchanged.
