3 Gulshan-Banani restaurants fined for adulteration Food safety drive at a restaurant in Gulshan-1

DHAKA: Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) on Wednesday (Jan 16) fined three restaurants in Gulshan and Banani areas Tk5.5 lakh for unhygienic environment and not having health clearance certificate.

Koreana restaurant at road no.123 and Pho restaurant at road no.101 were fined Tk 3 lakh and Tk 1.5 lakh respectively, under Consumer Rights Act.

The first one is owned by a Korean national and the latter one is owned by a Japanese.

Banani’s Bon Food Corner was fined Tk 1 lakh.

DNCC carried out a regular drive in Gulshan circle-2 and Banani areas, as part of ensuring food safety. 

DNCC Acting Mayor Jamal Mostafa, among other officials, took part in the drive on Wednesday.
