Bashundhara LPG has rolled out upgraded automation in value added tax (Vat) management following compliance with national board of revenue (NBR).

The new system ran from Thursday, first day of fiscal year, while the trial began in April this year and project commenced in December 2019, said a news release.

Chief information officer Sifat Noor expressed gratitude to Bashundhara Group vice chairman Shafiat Sobhan for his prudence and visionary direction.

“We also thank chief financial officer Mahbub Alam for his continuous support and guidance throughout the project phase. We want to thank the entire team for their dedication and cooperation,” said Sifat. 

According to the official, the system will allow only real-time data input instead of backdated posting while none get deliver product without challan.

Every team should perform respective role just in time because if purchase data is not posted production will be stuck due to the unavailable of stock. In the same chain, distribution cannot create a delivery challan due to production not done, according to the handout of the company.

It also mentioned that the national identity (NID) and Business Identification Number (BIN) are mandatory for each customer and supplier.
