DHAKA: Foreign exchange reserves of Bangladesh reached 17.00 billion US dollars breaking all the previous record.
Assistant spokesperson for Bangladesh Bank AFM Assaduzzaman made the disclosure on Tuesday.
In May this year, the foreign exchange reserves of Bangladesh were 15.06 billion US dollars.
Bangladesh’s foreign exchange reserves in the first week of the last April topped the 13 billion US dollars mark for the first time propelled by inflow of remittance.
The foreign currency reserves of Bangladesh have stayed above the 12-billion level since October last year.
