Naadir Junaid, professor of Mass Communication and Journalism Department of Dhaka University (DU) has been sent on a three-month leave to maintain academic discipline over allegations of sexual harassment.

DU authorities took the decision this afternoon following students' movement.

Besides, further steps will be taken, including investigating the allegations against Naadir in the next syndicate meeting.

A letter was issued in this regard from the office of the registrar of DU on Monday (February 12) afternoon.

On Sunday, the student lodged a written complaint with the university's vice chancellor against Naadir of sexually harassing her.
