The Admission and Financial Aid office of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) organized the Orientation program for the incoming students of the Autumn 2024 semester at the university auditorium on 26 September 2024 in the Bashundhara Residential Area in Dhaka. 

Didar A Husain, Chairman, Board of Trustees, IUB attended the program as the chief guest.

Md Anwarul Islam, PhD, Registrar, IUB, conducted a technical session to welcome, inform and present the house rules of the institution to both the freshers and the parents. 

Prof. Meherun Ahmed, PhD, Dean School of Business & Entrepreneurship; Habib Bin Muzaffar, PhD, Acting Dean, School of Engineering, Technology and Sciences; Prof. Shah M Faruque, PhD, Dean, School of Environment & Life Sciences; Professor Bokhtiar Ahmed, PhD, Dean; School of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences; Prof. J.M.A Hannan, PhD, Dean, School of Pharmacy and Public Health; Mohammad Nazmuzzaman Bhuian, PhD, Dean, School of Law, were also present at the program.

Prof Assaduzzaman Khan, PhD, Acting Proctor, talked about compliance of rules and policies, general code of conduct and urged students to experience a free, productive university life.

Atif Md. Safi, Head (in-charge), Division of Student Activities, talked about club activities and extracurricular activities. 

Lima Chowdhury, Deputy Director and Head of Admission and Financial Aid, delivered the welcome remarks. The event was hosted by Priyanka Dey, Assistant Director, Admissions. IUB Music Club performed in the event.
