Dhaka University has announced a one-day closure tomorrow to honor former Vice-Chancellor Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique, who passed away on Thursday. 

The closure follows the university's tradition of paying respect to former leaders and faculty members.

An official statement from Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, acting director of the Public Relations Office, confirmed the decision. 

Funeral arrangements, including public announcements, a special prayer at the central mosque, and other customary practices, have been carried out with the family's consent.

Professor Siddique was hospitalized after collapsing on March 6 and passed away shortly after.
