The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations scheduled for this morning (July 22) have been postponed after a tragic plane crash claimed multiple lives at Milestone College yesterday (July 21).
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting issued an emergency press release early today announcing the decision. Education Adviser CR Abrar confirmed the postponement to the ministry.
At least 27 people, including children and the pilot, were killed and over 170 others injured when a Bangladesh Air Force F-7 BGI training jet crashed into the Milestone College campus shortly after taking off from Base Bir Uttom AK Khandker on Sunday afternoon.
In response to the devastating accident, the Government of Bangladesh has declared today a one-day state mourning.
