RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY: The strike of Rajshahi University unit Chhatra League entered into third day on Monday.     

The Chhatra League unit called the strike demanding the arrest of Ashraful Alam, Chhatra Shibir president of RU unit for his alleged involvement in killing of BCL leader Rustom Ali.

Following the strike, all classes and examinations remained suspended even university bus services were stopped. But administrative works are seen going on as usual.

University Proctor Tariqul Hasan told banglanews, “Additional Police forces were deployed on the campus to avoid untoward situation”.

Chhatra League general secretary Tauhid Al Hossain Tuhin told banglanews, “The indefinite strike is underway, all students joined with us and tougher agitation program will be declared if our demands are met.”

On Friday (April 4), BCL leader Rustom Ali was shot dead in his Suhrawardy Hall room.
