DHAKA: A total of 215,360 students applied seeking recheck their scripts of Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations for 2014.

Education Board Chairman and Examination Controller and Teletalk authorities confirmed the matter to banglanews.

On August 13, the results of the HSC and equivalent examinations published in eight boards.

The overall pass percentage was 78.33 percent, which is 4.03 percent higher than the previous year.

This year's results also witnessed a rise of GPA-5 scorers, with a total of 70,602 students achieving the highest grade.

In 2013, a total of 58,197 students scored GPA-5.
