ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY, KUSHTIA: Islamic University Proctor Dr Mahbubur Rahman resigned amid the news of arms training of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) on the campus published.

Mahbubur submitted the resignation letter to IU vice-chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Abdul Hakim Sarkar on Tuesday afternoon.

Pro-VC Professor Dr M Shahinoor Rahman confirmed the matter to the media.

The university authorities also appointed Professor Dr Lokman Hakim as new proctor.

The decisions came from a meeting of university administration from 11:00am to 4:00pm.
