JSC-JDC exams begin Friday

DHAKA: Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations will begin Friday (November 7).

JSC Bangla 1st Part and JDC Quran Majid and Tazbid examinations will be held at 9:00am in the day.

The disclosure came from a press release issued by education ministry on Thursday.

The examinations were scheduled to be held earlier on November 2 and later these were rescheduled due to the nationwide hartal enforced by Jamaat-e-Islami.

The examinations, earlier scheduled for November 2 and 3, will be held on November 7 and 14.

Moreover, the examinations, earlier scheduled for November 5 and 6, have been rescheduled for November 19 and 20.

JSC Bangla 2nd Part and JDC Aqayeed and Fiqah and At-Tawhid, earlier scheduled for November 3, will be held at 9:00am on November 14.

JSC English 1st Part and JDC Arabic 1st Part will be held at 10:00am on November 19 while JSC English 2nd Part and JDC Arabic 2nd Part examinations will be held at 10:00am on November 20.

A total of 2,090,692 students are taking part in the examinations. Among them, 1,764,595 students belong to JSC and the rest to JDC examinations.

Education ministry deputy-chief information officer Subodh Chandra Dhali told banglanews that the education minister Nurul Islam Nahid is expected to visit Motijheel Government Boys School and Motijheel Government Girls School on Friday morning.
