3 DU teachers sacked

DHAKA UNIVERSITY: The authorities of University of Dhaka (DU) sacked three teachers for not joining work after completing studying abroad on leave.   

The decision was made from the syndicate meeting of the university on Wednesday night.

The sacked teachers are—Associate Professor Soheli Khadiza Azad of Women and Gender Studies department, Assistant Professor Aminur Rahman of Mathematics department and Mostaem Billah of Geography and Environment Study department.

DU Vice Chancellor (VC) professor AAMS Arefin Siddique told banglanews that the three teachers were sacked for living abroad longtime without permission as their study leave expired.
