TANGAIL: Maulana Bhashani Science and Technology University authorities suspended some 13 of its students and issued show-cause notices to five on charge of violating discipline.

An emergency meeting of Proctorial Body, chaired by Dr Mohammad Khademul Islam, made the decision on Wednesday evening.

Moreover, the students are asked to answer the notice, by seven days, that why they will not be suspended permanently.

They are also denied to enter the university campus without permission.

The university’s assistant proctor Mohammad Azizul Haque told banglanews that the students were allegedly involved in beating some fellow students.

He further said that this sort of behavior is punishable crime according to the Proctorial rules and nobody will get spared from the course of law.
