JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY: Jahangirnagar University unit of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), student wing organization of BNP, called a three-day strike on the campus from February 28.

The strike was called protesting the arrest warrant of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia and demanded immediate release of JU Chhatra Dal president Zakirul Islam Zakir among other JCD leaders.

A statement signed by JU Chhatra Dal general secretary Abu Sayeed Bhuiyan told the media on Thursday afternoon.

According to the statement, JCD denounced the arrest order of Khaleda Zia and also demanded withdrawal of her arrest warrant.

Moreover, the JCD leaders of the campus condemned the attack on JU Chhatra Dal leader Zahir Uddin Muhammad Babar and demanded an exemplary punishment of the attackers.
