DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Sunday said her government wants to ensure such an education system, which will not be disrupted even if the country experiences changes in government. 

She said, “The attitude of all of the political parties is not same to the development of education. In that situation, the Education Assistance Trust would be more strong to keep continue the programs taken by the government, such as, distribution of free books, free education and women education.”

She came up with the observations in a meeting of the Prime Minister's Advisory Committee on Education Assistance Trust at Prime Minister's Office in the city.

The premier said that she has studied about the education system of different nations in the world to find out what her government can do for the promotion of country’s education.

She is taking initiatives after studying Sri Lanka’s education system which is enjoying almost cent percent literacy and Kerala state of India which is also advanced in education, the PM added.

Mentioning many poor parents can not continue education of their children, the PM said that her government has taken various initiatives so that education of poor children cannot be stopped.

She added that not only the government but also the rich people in society have to come forward in implementing the initiatives.

The premier also urged the rich people to donate to the Trust.
