India invites applications for ICAR Fellowships

DHAKA: The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), an autonomous body under Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE) of agriculture ministry of India, has issued a notification inviting applications for Netaji Subhas – ICAR International Fellowships (ICAR-IFs) for the year 2015-16.

India High Commission to Dhaka issued a press release on Monday regarding the matter.

The ICAR-IFs are available for pursuing doctoral degree in agricultural and allied science, in the identified priority areas to Indian candidates for study abroad and to overseas candidates for study in the best Indian Agricultural Universities (AU) in the ICAR-AUs system.

The number of fellowships available for a program leading to PhD degree under this Scheme is 30 and the allocation of fellowships between Indian and Overseas candidates will depend upon the availability of good candidates in the identified priority areas.

Details of guidelines, priority areas of study and application pro forma, eligibility criteria, fellowship amount etc are available on ICAR website www.icar.org.in for ICAR International Fellowship for the year 2015-16.

Applications are to be submitted online/by post (two hard copies/one soft copy online) to: The Assistant Director General (EQR), Education Division, ICAR, Krishi Anusandhan Bhawan II, Pusa, New Delhi – 110012 (email: [email protected]).

Last date for receiving the application in the ICAR is June 30.
