FROM NATIONAL PARLIAMENT: Members of Parliament passed ‘Khulna Agricultural University Bill-2015’ in voice vote on Sunday.

The university, aiming to create opportunity for higher education and research on agricultural subjects, will be setup in Khulna district.

Education minister Nurul Islam Nahid placed the bill at the House, which was later passed by the voice vote.

The Bill has mentioned several provisions, including power of the vice chancellor, responsibilities of university grants commission (UGC), syndicate, academic council, curriculum and other issues related to the university.
