DHAKA: The government has announced that they have withdrawn the value added tax (VAT) on the tuition fees of private universities and medical colleges.

A finance ministry press release made the disclosure on Monday afternoon.

However, students of private universities organized road blocked in city and elsewhere of the country in protest against the imposition of VAT on tuition fees.
