DHAKA: The test for admission into first year honors courses under ‘Ka’ unit of the Dhaka University for the 2015-2016 academic session was held on Friday.

The one and a half hour test started at 10:00am at 76 centers in the city, including university campus.

A total of 71,350 candidates applied for 1,660 seats under the unit this year. That means, 43 students are vying for one seat.

University administration has remained alert to prevent all evil attempts during exam, said Acting Proctor of DU Prof Amzad Ali.

No untoward incident was reported from any exam centers, he added.

The proctor also said that no calculator, mobile phone or electronic devices were allowed in the examination hall like every year.

On the other hand, detectives detained 12 people for alleged attempt to leak question papers of DU admission test from different places of the city till Thursday midnight.
